NASA: possible polarity reversal of the Earth’s magnetic field

On May 11, planet Earth began to cross the heliospheric current sheet - an area within the solar system, the intersection of which is accompanied by a change in the polarity of the magnetic field of the sun. About this writes the online edition of "Actual News".

Such events, as warned by NASA experts, can provoke sharp fluctuations in the magnetic field of our planet. We are talking about disturbances in the magnetosphere, which are commonly called magnetic storms - these phenomena can lead to disruptions in the operation of communication networks and power systems, plus magnetic storms affect the well-being of weather-sensitive people.

Despite the fact that the intersection of the heliospheric current sheet is a common event in space weather, some experts note that this year the situation is not quite ordinary. Firstly, a rapid displacement of the Earth’s magnetic poles is being recorded, and secondly, there are mysterious predictions according to which, the next intersection of the heliospheric current sheet can lead to an apocalypse.

Aborigines of Australia believe in something similar, who visited a climate conference a couple of years ago and declared that the Great Tidal Wave would cover the Earth. It is not clear what is meant by this term, but some experts believe that we are talking about the inversion of the Earth's magnetic field.
