Preservation and harmonious circulation of wind in the body

Favorably
Recommended:
~ during urination and defecation, firmly clench the teeth (then they will not loosen when there is a strong flow of apana-vayu, moving downward),
~ wash your hair once every ten days, and the body once every five days (since five pranas make a full circle of circulation in five days),
~ shave your head on full moon days, because at this time the influence of the moon on the white bindu increases. The yogi who shaves his head on this day carries out a cleansing practice (munda-sadhana, mundan),
~ during pranayama, do not wash sweat, but rub,
~ when it's hot, don't stand in the wind,
~ wear clean clothes, use incense,
~ use water ablutions and chanting of sacred mantras to cleanse the subtle bodies,
~ do massage (it straightens energy channels and improves the state of vyana-vayu),
~ in the morning do yoga asanas, physical exercises,
~ do not swim for an hour after eating,
~ do not use soap during water procedures (if the body is not very dirty),
~ to cleanse the premises, fumigate them with incense sticks,
~ avoid heat, scorching sun, do not be naked in direct sunlight.
Adversely
Do not do it:
~ perform frequent bathing (this impairs the circulation of pranas),
~ pee looking at the sun, moon, beautiful scenery,
~ urinate in water bodies or fields,
~ drink a lot (because it harms the circulation of the wind),
~ play with wild animals or birds,
~ during sleep, open your mouth (since an unclean spirit can enter the body),
~ there is a lot in case of severe hunger (because it depresses prana),
~ break plants (so as not to attract spirits),
~ there are fruits out of season,
~ give your rosary to another person,
~ apply inedible oils to the skin (since the skin is a type of digestive system and everything that is applied to it gets into the body and is food),
~ eat, sleep next to sacred images (if this is not a ritual),
~ wear too warm clothes in cold weather,
~ blow out fire, candles,
~ take cold food or drinks,
~ eat garlic, pepper, meat, too sour, salty, fatty foods,
~ approach the fire, sit by the fire,
~ sit on bare ground without bedding,
~ sleep during the day,
~ do what causes sweating,
~ insult and mock women.
A yogi should not wear someone else's worn clothes, except for those that belonged to his spiritual Master.
How to avoid disruption of the movement of flows in the channels of the physical body
In addition to the energy channels, there are many channels of the physical body. These channels are called "meal". Juices, various nutrients and by-products move through them. Energy channels (nadis) are the most subtle type of meal. It is believed that the movement of prana through the subtle energy channels and the movement of nutrients through the gross channels are interrelated.
To avoid disturbances in the movement of flows in the bodily channels, there are recommendations for "non-suppression of thirteen natural urges":
~ urge to remove gas, urine and feces,
~ urge to vomit, belch, sneeze and yawn,
~ hunger and thirst,
~ desires to cry,
~ desires to sleep,
~ desire to breathe often after exercise,
~ desires to ejaculate if arousal gets too strong
Forcing, blocking or restraining any of the urges, if the yogi does not control his internal energy moving through the more subtle channels, can lead to the fact that the wind flow in the corresponding channel will flow in the wrong direction and lead to an imbalance of energy. If the wind flow deviates, then the movement of various substances inside the body will cause oppression of the acting channel and then the whole body.
Other manifestations that are associated not with reflexes of the physical body, but with the movement of impure states of consciousness, such as disgust, pride, envy, fear, anger, despondency, greed, a sense of shame, are recommended to be contained, but not suppressed.
