Freydoon Rassouli is an American artist of Iranian origin who was born in 1943 in Isfahan. He drew and wrote poetry from early childhood, and at the age of 15 was awarded a government grant to study painting in Europe. In 1963, the artist decided to emigrate to the United States, where he continued to study painting and architecture at the University of New Mexico. He started his professional career as an architect. Rassouli's painting technique is known as Fusionart – the author's style, which he currently teaches students in Southern California.

Cosmic unity is the main theme of Fusionart. The style has grown on the basis of mysticism, Eastern spirituality and is based on European painting technology. Freydoon Rassouli is a mystic and a talented teacher. According to him, powerful creative stimuli for him are meditations at dawn, watching the sunrise in a natural setting, as well as imaginary mystical journeys through the night sky.
